new year: new me. 20th time's a charm?
yeah. i'm a little bored with new year's resolutions. but i'm also a little bored with 2009. ...bored is not the right word. fed up? agitated? exhausted. got it. i remember twelve months ago trying to convince my family and friends that 2009 would be the "best year ever." .....hahahahahahaha. even then, it seemed everyone knew that 2009 would be a big headache.... body ache... who wants a body massage?
...i realize i sound a little hostile. 2009, i'm not bitter.
anyway, back to topic. what i'm not bored of? pondering what this new year will bring. besides my semester abroad, this will also be the year of my (and my sister's) 21st birthday. this will be the year i will have opportunities to start building my career. this could be the year i move out of my parents' house (emphasis on the "could"). hell, this year i could be abducted by aliens or start a tree farm. lady fortune, be kind. my point? a lot could happen this year. the options are endless. but unlike last year, i won't put a label on this year (apparently last year couldn't handle the pressure). and although i have no expectations for the next 12 months, i know this year will change me.
2009 out: 2010 in. yo, 2009, imma let you finish, but..... yeah, that's not funny any more.
